We deliver containers and ISO tanks nationwide from our Gauteng depot. This page sets out our freight methods, what they cost, how long they take and what your site needs before the truck arrives.

Freight methods and rates

Shipping cost calculation logic
Freight fees are calculated on distance from our depot at 3D Century Boulevard, Johannesburg, Gauteng 2191 to your specified delivery postal code:
- Depot customer pickup: R 0.00 (free of charge).
- Flatbed freight: R 4 850.00 flat base charge + R 32.00 per kilometre from the Johannesburg depot.
- Tilt-bed ground drop: R 6 900.00 flat base charge + R 41.00 per kilometre from the Johannesburg depot.
- Rates are per load. Distance is confirmed by dispatch before the truck is booked; long-distance and cross-border lanes are quoted individually.
- The exact calculated shipping fee is displayed in the cart and checkout summary before payment.
Order handling & dispatch lead times
- Handling time: all orders require 1 to 2 business days of order handling and dispatch preparation from cleared payment before leaving our Johannesburg depot.
- Transit time (Gauteng metro): 2 to 4 business days in transit.
- Transit time (other provinces): 4 to 10 business days in transit, depending on load consolidation.
- Depot collection: same or next business day handling once payment reflects and release documentation is issued.
- Modified and custom builds: fabrication time is confirmed on your quote before delivery is scheduled.
Tilt-bed ground drop
A tilt-bed truck slides the container off the back onto level ground with no crane. You need roughly 30 m of straight-line clearance behind the drop position, a firm level surface, and no overhead cables or low branches on the approach.
Flatbed freight
Flatbed is the cheaper option, but the container must be lifted off the trailer by you. A crane, telehandler or a forklift rated for the loaded weight of the unit must be on site and ready at the delivery window. Confirm this at checkout — the driver cannot offload a flatbed load.
Depot collection
Collection from Johannesburg is free of charge during Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 SAST · Saturday, 08:00–13:00. Bring your order number and photo identification; your transporter must arrive with correctly rated lifting and securing equipment.
Failed deliveries and standing time
- If the site cannot take the unit on arrival, the load returns to the depot and the full freight leg is re-billed for the second attempt.
- Driver standing time beyond two hours on site is billed at the published hourly rate.
- Someone authorised to accept the unit must be present and reachable on the number given at checkout.
On delivery
Inspect the unit before the truck leaves: check the doors open and close, the serial and CSC plates match your invoice, and note any transit damage on the delivery note. Then see our returns policy if anything is not as described.
