20ft Reefer — Fresh Flower Cold Room

A 20ft refrigerated container configured as a fresh flower holding room, running a stable +2 C to +8 C band with humidity retention and gentle air distribution so stems are not wind-burned. The interior keeps hygienic white panels, an aluminium T-bar floor for bucket trolleys and a serviced evaporator with cleaned drain lines. Florists, farm pack houses and export agents use this configuration as a buffer store between harvest and market, and the whole unit remains relocatable on a tilt-bed. Supplied in sound used condition after a full depot service including gas charge, controller calibration and door seal replacement where needed. Runs on 380 V three-phase. The shell is fabricated from Corten A weathering steel — a copper, chromium and nickel alloy that forms a tightly adherent oxide layer instead of the flaking scale you get on mild steel. That patina slows further corrosion, which is why a 25-year-old box can still be structurally sound while a painted mild-steel shed of the same age has perforated.
Side and end panels are 14-gauge (2.0mm) corrugated sheet welded to a rigid frame of rolled top and bottom rails with cast steel corner fittings on the ISO 1161 pattern. Roof panels are 2.0mm with an arch profile that shifts standing water toward the eaves. Flooring is 28mm marine-grade plywood over steel cross-members on nominal 300mm centres, rated for a 7 260 kg forklift axle load.
Expect surface oxidation on used grades: it is cosmetic. We reject units with through-plate pitting, cracked welds at the corner posts, or bowed rails, because those defects affect stacking strength and cannot be repaired economically in the field.
